We've Only Just Begun is the first episode of A Different World's fifth season which was first broadcast on September 19, 1991.
Summary[]
Everyone's back and romance is everywhere at Hillman! There are rumors that someone got married and everyone thinks it's Dwayne and Whitley. Only Mr. Gaines knows the mystery couple's secret. Dwayne asks Whitley to marry him but when Dwayne asks Ron to do him a favor and pick up the engagement ring he picks up the wrong one. Dwayne doesn't realize the mishap until he's given the ring to Whitley, a two and a half carat mistake! Of course, it's just her size! She's ecstatic. Now Dwayne must figure out how to break it to Whitley that she can't keep the ring and that the one he bought is much smaller. It's a day she will always remember...and one Dwayne will never forget. Finally the secret is out: Jaleesa and Colonel Taylor have been married! Everyone is elated for the couple, except for Colonel Taylor's son, Terrence.
